Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Arizona High School Softball Player of the Week for March 29-April 4 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

THIS WEEK’S WAFD BANK SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

Alexis Ayersman, Mingus: Ayersman pitched back-to-back complete games with 19 total strike outs to lead Mingus to a home-and-home sweep of Flagstaff. She also shined at the plate with six hits, including a home run.

Riley Flynn, Xavier Prep: Flynn dazzled on the mound with 18 strikeouts in a nine-inning, 3-1 win over Gilbert Perry.

Katie Hoffman, Desert Mountain: Hoffman, a sophomore, went 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBI and a stolen base in Desert Mountain's 15-14 win over Horizon.

Callie Honig, Chaparral: Honig, a senior, went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI to lead Chaparral to a 6-4 victory over Mountain Ridge.

Riley Lauffer, O'Connor: Lauffer pitched a complete-game victory and went 2-for-2 at the plate with a double in O'Connor's 10-5 win over Pinnacle. She allowed just four hits, one earned run and struck out five.

Allison Lindsay, Shadow Ridge: Lindsay, a sophomore, went 3-for-3 with two doubles, four runs scored and four RBI in Shadow Ridge's 26-1 victory over Maryvale.

Genesis Moreno, Copper Canyon: Moreno, a freshman, went 4-for-4 with five RBI and two runs scored in Copper Canyon's 20-10 win over Westview. She also pitched all five innings, picking up the victory.

Brynn Smythe, Chandler: Smythe went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Chandler's 13-1 win over Westwood.

Madeline Ugalde, Basha: Ugalde picked up the win on the mound, throwing three innings and allowing just one run, while also shining at the plate with two hits and three RBI in Basha's 5-3 win over Hamilton.

Emily Williams, Shadow Mountain (Phoenix): Williams threw a perfect game to lead Shadow Mountain to a 9-0 win over St. Mary's.

Tanya Windle, Cactus: Windle hit for the cycle, going 4-for-4 with a single, double, triple and home run in Cactus' 21-0 win over Notre Dame Prep. Windle scored four runs, drove in seven and stole a base.

Jayden Zamora, Peoria: Zamora, a sophomore, went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases in Peoria's 15-4 win over Goldwater.
