In addition, Fairwell snagged four rebounds, two assists, three steals and a block to round out her night and put the state on high-alert for the Thunder.

Tessa Hastings, Senior, Salpointe Catholic - Normally known for her scrappy defense, Hastings came through big-time for the Lancers in Wednesday’s 42-29 hard-fought win over perennial powerhouse Seton Catholic to avenge last year’s loss to the Sentinels at the championships and get another shot at the title. Hastings led the team in scoring with 15 points, and she added two rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal.

Sydney Lomeli-Capen, Junior, Flowing Wells - The big was feasting on Wednesday night in the 5A semifinal win against Gilbert, where the Caballeros were feeding her the ball in the post all night to finish with 21 points while shooting 77-percent from the field.
