After moving around a dozen times growing up, Rick Jones graduated from Ardmore High School in Oklahoma, a state where he eventually coached three different high school football programs in 17 seasons, winning 132 games and a state championship.

In 2004, Jones came to Arkansas to take over the Greenwood program, a small town 30 minutes southeast of Fort Smith that had experienced gridiron success, but nothing compared to what Jones would build.

There he won eight state championship games, appearing in three more, and coached six Division I quarterbacks. He talks about his early days in Oklahoma, the community support of Greenwood, his relationship with now-boss Missouri head coach and native Arkansan Eliah Drinkwitz, and of course plenty of football.
