Some of the top Arkansas prep girls soccer players to watch in 2023

As the Arkansas high school girls soccer season begins, we’ve compiled a list of some of the top players to watch in the coming months. This is not a comprehensive list as there are hundreds of outstanding prep soccer players in The Natural State. 

Clare Barger | Harrison | SR | Forward

Barger scored 26 goals with 14 assists last season and has 64 goals and 26 assists for her career.

Kayla Hurley | Bentonville | JR | Forward

Hurley is a University of Central Arkansas commit who scored 26 goals with 12 assists last season and has 38 goals and 20 assists for her career. She earned state, conference, and player of the year post-season honors.

Micah McMillan | Valley View | SR | Forward

McMillan returns for an entire season after missing 14 games last year. She still finished with 18 goals and five assists and has 47 goals and 26 assists for her career.

Sydney Pickering | Westside Consolidated | SR | Goalkeeper

Pickering is an all-state selection with 187 saves last season (160 in conference).

Lauren Magre | Fayetteville | SR | Forward

Magee scored 42 goals in the past two seasons and is a two-year starter and co-captain this season. She earned state, tournament, and conference post-season honors.

Jetta Broquard | Siloam Springs | JR | Forward

Broquard scored 28 goals with 14 assists last season.

Abbi Brookreson | Brookland | JR | Forward/striker

Brookreson scored 26 goals last season. She earned all-state and best offensive player post-season honors.

Maysa Willis | Bentonville West | SR | Goalkeeper

Willis, an all-conference selection, had 94 saves with eight goals allowed against 15 wins and 7 shutouts.

McKenna Wright | Lakeside | JR | Midfielder

Wright scored 32 goals with 16 assists last season and has 51 goals and 26 assists for her career.

Lauren Latham | Lakeside | SO | Forward

Latham scored 31 goals with nine assists last season.

Kennel Morris | Fayetteville | SR | Defender

Morris is a two-year starter and co-captain of a defense that allowed less than a goal for the last two years. She earned state, tournament, conference, and defensive player of the year post-season honors.

Emily Robinson | Fayetteville | SR | Goalkeeper

Robinson is returning starter for a defense that allowed .66 goals per game in 6A-West Conference play.

Alexis Pablo | Bryant | JR | Goalkeeper

Pablo had 34 saves last season.

Lisa Craig | Brookland | JR | Goalkeeper

Craig had 14 shutouts out of 21 games last season and was named all-conference.

Tianna Jones | Bentonville West | JR | Forward


Jones scored 21 goals with 9 assists last year and has 32 goals and 10 assists for her career. She earned state, tournament, and conference post-season honors.

Sydney Hobson | Harrison | SR | Goalkeeper

Hobson had 11 shutouts and allowed less than 1 goal per game last season.

Mac Dillinger | North Little Rock | SR | Goalkeeper

Dillinger had 11 shutouts last season.

Emma Browning | Maumelle | SO | Midfielder

Browning scored 19 goals last season.

Rachel Howell | Bauxite | JR | Goalkeeper

Howell had 10 shutouts last season.

Amanda Schell | Bentonville | JR | Forward

School returns from an injury after missing last season. She was the leading scorer as a freshman with 17 goals and five assists in 2021.

Abbi Armstrong | Bentonville | SR | Forward

Armstrong scored 16 goals with six assists last season. She committed to the University of Central Arkansas and earned state and conference post-season honors.

Kaylee Fluger | Bryant | JR | Winger

Fluger scored 11 goals with 12 assists last season.

Ellie Higgins | Valley View | SR | Midfielder

Higgins scored 11 goals with 18 assists last season and has 20 goals and 41 assists for her career.

Star Chesshir | Bentonville | JR | Forward


Chesshir scored 21 goals with nine assists in the last two seasons.

Thalia Hernandez | Springdale | SR | Center-back/Winger

Hernandez is a four-year starter and committed to Ecclesia College. She scored five goals with three assists last season.
