Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Arkansas high school athlete of the week for May 1-7. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. If you would like to make a nomination in a future week, email athleteoftheweek@scorebooklive.com.

Kade Smith, Harding Academy baseball

The senior hit a home run and went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI and allowed 1 run on 3 hits with 12 strikeouts and 4 walks in a 9-1 victory over Central Arkansas Christian in the regional championship. He went 2-for-3, scored a run and had an RBI in a 10-4 victory over Baptist Prep in the tournament opener.

Lydia Polk, Wonderview softball

The senior allowed 3 runs on 5 hits with 8 strikeouts in a 4-3 victory over Midland in the 1A-3 Regional Tournament. She struck out 7 and allowed 4 hits while going 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI in a 16-0 victory over Bradford in the semifinals. She struck out 6 in 3 scoreless innings while allowing no hits in a 16-0 victory over Augusta in the first round.

Erik Trevino, Clarksville boys soccer

The senior scored two goals as the Panthers defeated Dardanelle 3-0.

Alyse Lewis, Riverview girls soccer

The freshman had nine saves as the Raiders tied Cave City, 1-1, and clinched the No. 1 seed for the Class 3A.

Hudson Betts, Fayetteville boys track and field

The senior won the 1,600 (4:16.64) and 3,200 (9:21.34), setting the MileSplit US Second Team Standard in both events at the Class 6A state meet in Fort Smith.

Madison Galindo, Bentonville girls track and field

The senior won the 1,600 (5:00.87) and 3,200 (10:59.60), setting the MileSplit US Second Team Standard in both events and a 6A state record in the 3,200 at the Class 6A state meet in Fort Smith. She also ran on the winning 4x800 relay (9:24.11) which set a state record and the MileSplit US Second Team standard.

Hunter Grumbles, Episcopal Collegiate baseball

The junior struck out 13 in a complete-game, 5-0 victory over Cedar Ridge in the regional championship.

Alyssa Houston, Benton softball

The senior pitched a perfect game, striking out 12 in a 13-0 victory over Sheridan.

Gabe Guimond, Brookland boys soccer

The senior scored 2 goals in a 3-2 victory over Wynne.

Grace Nowlin, Rogers boys soccer

The junior had both goals, and the Mounties defeated Heritage 2-1.

Clayton Wilbon, Little Rock Parkview boys track and field

The senior won the high jump (6-6), the triple jump (47-4 1/4) and finished second in the long jump (22-8), setting the setting the MileSplit US Second Team Standard in all three events at the Class 5A state meet at Lake Hamilton.

Anna Woolsey, Ozark girls track and field

The senior won the 100 (12.07), 400 (56.88) and pole vault (10-8), setting the MileSplit US Second Team Standard at the Class 4A state meet in Clarksville in all three events. Her time in the 400 was a new Class 4A state record. She also won the 200 (25.10) at the same meet.

Carston Poole, Prescott baseball

The senior broke the school record with his 15th career home run in a 16-8 loss to Nashville. He also holds the single-season recored with 11.

Brinkley Moreton, Lincoln softball

The sophomore hit her 18th home run of the season in a 10-0 victory over Cossatot River in the 3A-1 Regional Tournament. She struck out 10 and allowed 4 hits in a 8-0 victory over Booneville in the semifinals.

Brandon Southard, Valley View boys soccer

The senior scored 2 goals and had 1 assist in a 5-0 victory over Nettelton.

Bailey Reddick, Greene County Tech girls soccer

The senior scored five goals in a 7-0 victory over Marion.

DeAndra Burns, Jr., El Dorado boys track and field

The senior finished second in the 100 (10.73), second in the 200 (21.71), won the 400 (48.17), long jump (23-2 1/2) and ran on the winning 4x200 relay (1:28.25), setting the MileSplit US Second Team Standard in all five events at the Class 5A state meet at Lake Hamilton.

Skylar Sterritt, Sheridan girls track and field

The freshman finished second in the high jump (5-4), setting the MileSplit US Second Team Standard at the Class 5A state meet at Lake Hamilton. She also won the 100 (12.36) and 200 (23.53) at the same meet.

Steele Eaves, Lonoke baseball

Eaves threw a no-hitter in a 5-0 victory over Highland in the regional tournament on 67 pitches with 58 being strikes. He struck out 13 in the process.

Kelsey Pembleton, Gravette softball

The senior went 3-for-4 with a RBI, double and stolen base in a 13-1 victory over Farmington in the 4A-North Regional semifinal. She went 1-for-3 with a double, RBI and score a run in a 3-0 victory over Pea Ridge in the tournament finals.

Aiden Sanders, Mountain Home boys soccer

The junior scored 2 goals and had 2 assists in a 7-1 victory over Alma.

Mia Barrett, Harrison girls soccer

The junior scored three goals in a 7-2 victory over Russellville.

Joseph Bariola, Hot Springs Lakeside boys track and field

The senior won the 1,600 (4:11.28), setting a Class 5A record and the MileSplit US Second Team Standard at the Class 5A state meet at Lake Hamilton.

Maddie Cabana, Clinton girls track and field

The junior won the 1,600 (5:17.25) and 3,200 (11:24.12) at the Class 4A state meet in Clarksville, setting 4A state records in both events.

Isaac Baker, Harding Academy baseball

The sophomore went 4-for-4, scored 1 run and had 2 RBI in a 10-4 victory over Baptist Prep in the regional tournament. In the finals, he went 2-for-3 in a 9-1 victory over Central Arkansas Christian. In the tournament, he went 8-for-11 and there out one base stealer.

Alaina Lyle, Monticello softball

The sophomore struck out 9 in a complete-game, 9-3 victory over Magnolia in the 4A-South Regional Tournament while hitting 2 home runs with 3 RBI.
