PHOENIX — The Highland Hawks finished with a 1-3 record in the Arizona division at the 2020 Border League Tournament in Phoenix over the weekend. Highland opened with a win over Modesto Christian before losses to Torrey Pines (CA), Campolindo (CA), and St. Mary's (AZ).

The Border League, created to give high school basketball teams from California, Nevada and Arizona an opportunity to compete in the fall, took place Friday through Sunday across five different high schools around Phoenix.

The Hawks, who finished 17-9 last season, look ready to make a jump this year with returning guards AJ Riggs and Derick Kaps leading the way.
