NOTABLE RESULTS

Foothills Christian registered a much-needed win on Friday when they traveled to Francis Parker where the Lancers were holding their senior night. The Lancers had surprised Foothills Christian a few weeks back when they led throughout and took down the Knights to grab sole possession of the Coastal League. Parker, who only has eight players on their roster and rarely utilizes more than six, found themselves in foul trouble and Foothills Christian point guard Yassine Gharram delivered one of his best career performances to lead the Knights to an 80-67 win. The two teams will get to settle it once and for all as they’ll matchup in the first round of the Open Division playoffs, with Foothills Christian hosting.

Torrey Pines, Poway, El Camino, and Escondido all pulled off impressive feats during the regular season as all four were able to finish league play undefeated. Escondido only won two games in the Valley League by single digits. Poway cruised through all eight Palomar League games with their 12-point win over Mt. Carmel being their closest game. Torrey Pines and El Camino each trailed at halftime in a few of their league games but made impressive second-half comebacks.
