SANTA ANA, Calif. — Donovan Dent hit a corner 3 three minutes left in overtime and hit one key shot after another to lead Corona Centennial to an overtime win over Coronado (Nev.) 80-71 in the Mater Dei Classic on Saturday night.

So five-star junior Jared McCain took it as an opportunity to boost up his point guard.

"It's a blessing to have a point guard like him. I think he's underrated," McCain said. "The way we can play, if I'm not on, he's not on, even Ramsey (Huff), Devin (Williams), Aaron (McBride), they're picking up all the load for me, so I appreciate them as teammates."

It took a village to slow Coronado and its leading scorer, Richard Pop Pop Isaacs, of whom all 22 points scored were done so emphatically.

Isaacs, a Texas Tech pledge hit consecutive contested 3s in the first half to help Coronado build a lead, which it held most of the game, and drew a foul and hit three free throws to tie the game at 69-69 with 4.2 seconds left to force overtime.

That's when the Huskies, the No. 18 ranked team in the country in the SBLive/Sports Illustrated's Power 25, pulled away.
