Four-star guard Parker Friedrichsen commits to Wake Forest

The senior had previously signed with Notre Dame

Parker Friedrichsen, one of the top uncommitted players for the class of 2023, announced his commitment to Wake Forest on Monday.

The 6-foot-3 shooting guard is the nation’s No. 99 overall senior according to 247Sports. He signed a letter of intent with Notre Dame in November but was granted his release after Mike Brey announced that he’ll be stepping away at the end of the season.

Friedrichsen attends Bixby High School in Oklahoma. He is rated the state’s second-best senior behind Del City’s Brandon Garrison, who will play for Oklahoma State.

Friedrichsen took an official visit to Wake Forest on Feb. 10. The Demon Deacons are 17-10 overall and 9-7 in ACC play.

247Sports describes Friedrichsen as a highly-skilled guard and an excellent 3-point shooter. He averaged 27.8 points, five rebounds and four assists as a junior.

Bixby has a playoff game against Enid on Friday.
