Each week, SBLive gathers the best high school basketball performances across the country with the help of fans, readers and staff.

This week, we've separated boys and girls because of how many great performances there are each week. Now it's your turn to choose a standout among the pack, the best of the best.

Here are the nominees for SBLive's Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week for Feb. 20-26. Voting closes on Sunday, March 5 at 11:59 (Pacific Time) and winners are announced on Mondays.

National Boys Basketball Player of the Week Nominees

Landon Anderson, Mexia (Texas)

Anderson scored 38 points in a 63-51 first-round playoff victory over McGregor.

Flory Bidunga, Kokomo (Indiana)

Bidunga put together an impressive stat line of 18 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks with Purdue coach Matt Painter in attendance as Kokomo blew by Huntington North, 72-36. Bidunga, a five-star recruit for the class of 2024, has 45 double-doubles in 50 career games.

Kaden Cooper, Skill Factory (Georgia)

Cooper, a four-star Oklahoma signee, had 25 points, 27 rebounds, 10 assists, three blocks and two steals in a victory over Hamilton Heights.

Vinnie Cugini, Aquinas Academy (Pennsylvania)

Cuigini dropped 45 points in a 72-62 win over Monessen.

K’Vaughn Davis, Alliance (Ohio)

Davis drained six 3-pointers en route to a career-best 29 points in an 81-54 thrashing of Geneva. The junior also had a massive dunk in the game.

Yanni Fassilis, Union (Washington)

Fassilis matched a program record by scoring 41 points in a 60-47 win over Sumner.

Khalil Genwright, Laney (North Carolina)

Genwright just missed out on a double-double, recording 30 points and nine boards in a 66-64 win over Wakefield.

Winters Grady, Lake Oswego (Oregon)

Only a sophomore, Grady scored his 1,000th career point in an 80-58 victory over Lakeridge. Grady netted 37 points in the win. He averaged 27.6 points per game during the regular season.

Orlando Horton Jr., Clear Falls (Texas)

Horton Jr. filled up the stat sheet with 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in a 68-58 postseason victory over Strake Jesuit. Clear Falls won the program’s first 24-6A district title earlier this season.

Isaia Howard, Plattsburg (Missouri)

Howard became Plattsburg’s all-time leading scorer in a 72-38 rout of Maysville. The junior compiled a box score of 20 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists, seven steals and three blocks. Later in the week, he had 35 points as Plattsburg captured the district title with a 53-47 win over West Platte.

Zaxton King, Lawrence (Kansas)

King only needed 19 shots to score 42 points in an 81-49 victory over Shawnee Mission North.

Bryce Kurncz, DeWitt (Michigan)

Kurncz became Dewitt’s career scoring leader while tallying 30 points in a 61-49 victory over Waverly. Kurncz is a Michigan Tech football signee.

Kenneth Morrast Jr., Ecorse (Michigan)

Morrast Jr. netted 36 points — breaking the 1,000 mark for his career — as Ecorse cruised to a 91-54 romp of Detroit East English Village. Morrast Jr.’s teammate, Malik Olafioye, scored his 2,000th career point in the victory.

Ty Pence, St. Joseph-Ogden (Illinois)

Pence scored 45 points as St. Joseph-Ogden defeated Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, 74-51, to claim the IHSA Class 2A regional title.

Jordan Pyke, Shining Light Academy (North Carolina)

Pyke dominated at both ends of the court in a 68-44 victory over Veritas Christian Academy, finishing with 25 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks.

Grayson Rigdon, Benjamin (Texas)

Rigdon exploded for 52 points in an 88-46 win over Eula.

Brandon Scott, Charleston (Arkansas)

Scott poured in 37 points as Charleston took down Booneville, 59-49.
