Robert Wright III, a Baylor commit and four-star point guard for the class of 2024, announced on Instagram Monday afternoon that he will be transferring from Neumann-Goretti (Pennsylvania) to Montverde Academy (Florida) for his senior season.

The 2023 Pennsylvania Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year, Wright III averaged 22.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, five assists and 2.4 steals as a junior. He led Neumann-Goretti to the PIAA 4A state title last season and a runner-up finish this year.

The Philadelphia power is a nine-time state champion.

The 6-foot Wright III is the nation’s No. 34 overall junior in the 247Sports composite rankings and the fifth-best point guard recruit. He committed to Baylor last September.

Back in December, Wright III was named MVP of the Iolani Classic as Neumann-Goretti captured the tournament title. Wright III averaged 26.5 points during his four games in Hawaii while showing off his outside shooting and finishing ability.
