Dominguez guard Leigha Harris voted Southern California girls basketball player of the week

Harris finished with an impressive 26 points, 13 rebounds, 11 steals, and 4 assists in Dominguez’s victory over El Dorado.

Congratulations to Dominguez High School guard Leigha Harris for being voted Scorebook Live’s Southern California girls basketball player of the week!

Harris recorded a triple-double in Dominguez's 60-53 win over El Dorado on Wednesday, Nov. 27, racking up 26 points, 13 rebounds, 11 steals, and 4 assists.

Harris received 43.26% of the vote, beating out Centennial point guard Jayda Curry who finished with  41.96%. Mater Dei guard Brooke Demetre finished third with 11.52% and Rosary Academy guard Nicole Rodriguez finished fourth with 1.3%.

Nicole Rodriguez, Rosary Academy G: Rodriguez netted 29 points in Rosary’s 88-46 win against Westchester. 

Joy Campbell, Etiwanda PG: Campbell scored 19 points to help lead Etiwanda to a 53-39 victory against Centennial.

Te-Hina Paopao, La Jolla Country Day PG: Paopao finished with 36 points and 7 steals in the Torrey’s 79-54 win over Roosevelt.
