Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday, according to multiple news outlets. TMZ first reported the deadly crash.

Bryant, 41, was reportedly on his way to a basketball practice at his Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks with Gianna. Bryant and his wife Vanessa had four daughters together. The youngest, Capri, was born in July.

The other passengers on board the helicopter have not been identified.

Gianna -- also known as "Gigi" -- was a bonafide star in the Southern California girls basketball scene. An eighth grader, she was widely considered one of the best basketball players in the country in the class of 2024.
