Scorebook Live’s Top 25 Southern California high school baseball rankings: Birmingham debuts
Here are Scorebook Live’s Top 25 Southern California high school baseball rankings for the week of March 9th. Our rankings encompass the Southern Section and LA City Section. The rankings are compiled by Scorebook Live California reporter Connor Morrissette and will be released weekly during the regular season.
1. Orange Lutheran (6-0)
The Lancers start Trinity League play this week with a series against Mater Dei. They were off last week.

2. Thousand Oaks (8-0)
Thousand Oaks has wins over El Camino Real and Birmingham.
3. Ayala (10-0)
Sophomore Andreas Pasillas has pitched very well for Ayala to start the year.
4. JSerra (9-1)
JSerra fell to Birmingham last week. They've beaten Corona and Huntington Beach.
5. Huntington Beach (5-3)
All three of the Oilers' losses have come against JSerra.
6. Notre Dame Sherman Oaks (4-1)
Notre Dame took two out of three from Crespi to begin Mission League play last week.
7. La Mirada (6-2)
La Mirada has lost games to Orange Lutheran and Ayala. Their best win is over Santa Margarita.
8. Harvard-Westlake (6-1-1)
The Wolverines swept Loyola last week.
9. Mission Viejo (6-0)
Mission Viejo beat Tesoro 6-0 last week.
10. Laguna Beach (9-0)
Laguna Beach plays Huntington Beach on Wednesday.
11. Corona (5-1)
Corona’s one loss so far this season came against JSerra. They play a series against Roosevelt this week.

12. Foothill (7-2)
The Knights started the season with a sweep over Servite. They split a doubleheader with Yucaipa over the weekend.
13. Cypress (7-4)
Cypress swept El Toro over the weekend.
14. Mira Costa (6-2)
Mira Costa has won four games in a row since dropping two to Harvard-Westlake and Damien in February.
15. Fountain Valley (5-2)
Wins over Santa Margarita and Servite move the Barons into the top 15.
16. Bishop Amat (5-3)
Amat started Del Rey League play with a 13-3 win over Serra.
17. Eastvale Roosevelt (8-1)
Roosevelt begins a series with Corona this week.
18. Chaminade (7-0)
Chaminade starts Mission League play against Notre Dame this week.
19. Rancho Cucamonga (9-2-1)
Rancho Cucamonga won their three game series against Damien last week taking two of the games.
20. Norco (8-2)
Norco swept La Quinta in a doubleheader last week.
21. Redondo Union (8-1)
The Sea Hawks have won eight straight.
22. Damien (6-3)
Rancho Cucamonga took two out of three from Damien last week. The Spartans should bounce back.
23. San Dimas (4-1)
San Dimas beat Bonita 6-0 last week.
24. Birmingham (6-2)
Birmingham's win over JSerra propels them into the top 25.
25. Bonita (7-2)
The Bearcats beat a good Glendora team last week.
