Here are Scorebook Live's All-Southern Section girls basketball teams for the 2019-2020 season. The primary criteria for the awards were team success, statistics, strength of schedule, and intangibles. ALL-SOUTHERN SECTION GIRLS BASKETBALL
FIRST TEAM:
G Vanessa DeJesus – Sierra Canyon – SR.
The 5-star Duke commit was one of the best guards in the country for Sierra Canyon.
G Asia Avinger – Rosary Academy – SR.
The San Diego State commit led Rosary Academy to back-to-back CIF Division I Southern Region championships.
G Joy Campbell – Etiwanda – SR.
One of the best under-the-radar basketball stars in SoCal, Campbell led Etiwanda to the CIF Open Division regional semifinals.
G Jayda Curry – Corona Centennial – JR.
Curry averaged 22.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.1 steals per game in one of Centennial's best seasons in recent history.
F/G Rayah Marshall – Lynwood – JR.
Marshall averaged over 18 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals per game as Lynwood made the Southern Section Open Division field.
F Juju Watkins – Windward – FR.
Watkins had a freshman season for the books, averaging well over 20 PPG for the Open Division finalist in both the Southern Section and CIF state playoffs.
