THIS WEEK’S SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:
Isaiah Reliford, Valley View G: Reliford stuffed the stat sheet against Riverside Notre Dame on Tuesday, finishing with four points, five rebounds, eight assists, three steals and six blocks.
Arthur Cuevas, Sultana G: Cuevas had 27 points including making five of six from three-point range to help the Sultans take down Apple Valley, 58-46.
Corey Cofield, West Ranch G: Cofield had 24 points, nine rebounds, five steals, and four assists in Tuesday's win over Hart.
David Vuillemin, Murrieta Valley G: The junior guard had 30 points on Tuesday night to help the Nighthawks take down Temecula Valley, 96-93.
Nick Davidson, Mater Dei C: The Nevada-signee averaged 18 points and seven rebounds per game over the Monarch's four wins last week.
Malik Khouzam, Walnut G: Khouzam had 33 points on 11 of 19 shooting in Friday's loss to Los Altos.
Camden McCormick, Francis Parker G: The junior had a combined 45 points and 19 rebounds including shooting eight of ten from three-point range in a two-game stretch against Orange Glen and Torrey Pines last week.
Melo Sanchez, Mater Dei Catholic G: Sanchez had 33 points, five rebounds and five assists to help the Crusaders get their first win of the season against Bonita Vista.
David Diaz, Birmingham F: Diaz had two goals to help Birmingham beat El Camino Real 4-0 last week.
Zai Linn Foster, Morse MF: Foster had seven goals in two games last week to help the Tigers beat Lincoln and Crawford.
Jake Woltman, La Costa Canyon 1B: The senior first baseman hit home runs against Rancho Bernardo and San Marcos last week.
Shunsuke Sakaino, Rancho Bernardo 2B: The Cal State Northridge-signee went 6-10 last week with four walks, two doubles and seven runs scored.
Javier Martinez, El Camino 3B/RHP: The sophomore went 6-11 with a double last week and scored five runs to help the Wildcats to a 3-0 week.
Noah Barnes, Grossmont OF: Barnes was 5-9 with three walks, a home run, a triple, and a double to lead the Foothillers to a 3-0 week emerge as the winners of the GMC Tournament.
Charlie Saum, Thousand Oaks C: Saum had a home run, a double, and walked twice in Monday's 10-0 win over Agoura.
Kelsey Tadlock, San Marcos LHP: Tadlock threw a complete game shutout while striking out 13 batters during Friday's 4-0 win over Scripps Ranch.
