'Holy Bowl' game between Cathedral Catholic and St. Augustine voted best rivalry in San Diego Section high school football

Last week, we asked San Diego high school football fans to vote for the best high school football rivalry game in the San Diego Section. There were 15 rivalry games included in the poll.

The annual Holy Bowl game between Cathedral Catholic and St. Augustine won the poll with 37.5% of the vote. The game dates back to 1966 and always draws a huge crown. This year's game was played on Oct. 15 and saw Cathedral Catholic win, 49-7, their fourth straight win in the series.

The 'Beach Bowl' between Torrey Pines and La Costa Canyon was second in the poll with 16.9% of the vote.
