Mission Bay WR Jacob Sloan voted SBLive’s Southern California High School Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Mission Baywide receiver Jacob Sloan for being voted SBLive’s Southern California High School Athlete of the Week for Nov. 15-21!
Sloan caught 12 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns against Calexico on Friday.
The junior ran away with this week's honor, receiving 95.56% of the total vote.

Benny Gealer, Rolling Hills Prep boys basketball: Gealer, a Stanford commit, scored 21 points in a 64-45 win over Mater Dei Catholic.
Kayden Collins, Canoga Park RB: Collins carried 42 times on Friday night for 346 yards and two touchdowns against Dorsey.
Johnny Thang, Alhambra WR: Thang caught eight passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s loss to Loara.
Marcus Martin, Salesian QB: Martin was 33 of 55 passing for 409 yards and six touchdowns in Friday’s one-point loss to St. Anthony.
Marvin Denson, Salesian WR: Denson caught ten passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns on Friday.
Raleek Brown, Mater Dei RB: Brown had 158 rushing yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s 21-16 win over Corona Centennial.
David Bailey, Mater Dei LB: Bailey had five tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble against Corona Centennial.
Cheo Medina, Northview RB: Medina had 179 total yards and a touchdown in Friday’s win over Palmdale.
Noah Fifita, Servite QB: Fifita showcased his rushing ability, finishing with 136 yards and three touchdowns in Friday’s win over St. John Bosco.
Houston Thomas, Servite RB: Thomas carried 15 times for 128 yards and a touchdown and also had an interception against St. John Bosco.
Rashawn Jackson, Venice RB: Jackson rushed five times for 129 yards and a touchdown against Reseda and also returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown.
Antoine Fowler, Rialto RB: Fowler rushed 19 times for 241 yards and two touchdowns against Indian Springs.
Raqwon Williams, Rialto RB: Williams rushed seven times for 120 yards and two touchdowns and caught a 41-yard touchdown pass in Friday’s win over Indian Springs.
Logan Gonzalez, Orange Lutheran QB: Gonzalez passed for 355 yards and five touchdowns in Friday’s 42-40 win over Sierra Canyon.
Samuel Gbatu Jr, Temecula Valley WR: Gbatu caught 11 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown against Camarillo on Friday.
Jason Jones, Sierra Canyon RB: Jones rushed for 226 yards and five touchdowns in Friday’s two-point loss to Orange Lutheran.
Lucky Sutton, Cathedral Catholic RB: Sutton rushed for 269 yards and three touchdowns to help the Dons take down Carlsbad 48-19 in the San Diego Section Open Division Championship game on Saturday night.
Xavier Van, Helix WR/DB: Van caught four passes for 97 yards and three touchdowns and also had an interception in Friday’s 24-13 win over El Camino.
Dominic Castaneda, Liberty RB: Castaneda rushed 17 times for 166 yards and three touchdowns against Boron.
Matthew Tinajero, Montclair RB: Tenajero rushed for 248 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-21 win against South Pasadena.
Sterling Lane, Oaks Christian DL: Lane had three sacks in Friday’s 24-14 semifinal win over El Modena.
