With most of NorCal high school basketball back in action last week and many teams starting league play, there were more big individual weeks than in any week so far of the 2021-22 basketball season. Here’s a quick look at some of the top stars and individual performances from last week throughout Northern California.

GIRLS BASKETBALL:

Aaliyah Thompson, Corcoran C:

In Corcoran's lone game last week, a 69-18 blowout of Woodlake, Thompson dropped 31 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks, and two steals.

Chantel Zarate, Edison (Fresno) F:

Zarate led the Tigers to a 59-48 win over Madera South with 27 points, four rebounds, five assists, and three steals in Edison's only game last week.

Elle Ladine, Pinewood G:

Ladine led Pinewood to a 2-0 week averaging 20.5 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and 4.5 steals per game. Emily Lee also had a big week for the Panthers.

Ryka Aprameyan, Evergreen Valley G:

Aprameyan dominated in the Cougars' only game last week, a 72-55 win against Branham, finishing with 28 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, and three steals.

Natalie Pasco, San Ramon Valley F:

Pasco nearly outscored the competition herself as the Wolves went 2-0, averaging 21.5 PPG.

Alexis Woodson, Monte Vista F:

Woodson led Monte Vista to a 3-0 week averaging 16.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game on 59.5% shooting. Sarah Brans also came up huge for the Mustangs.

Lucca Lowenberg, West County G:

In a 64-49 win over Ukiah, Lowenberg tied her career-high with 31 points on 9-15 shooting (6-11 3FG) to go with four rebounds, three assists, six steals, and a block. She also had 14 points, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals in a loss to Cardinal Newman.

Gabrille Abigor, Berean Christian F:

Abigor went off for 38 points on 60% shooting to go with 19 rebounds, two assists, four steals, and four blocks in the Eagles' only game last week, a 40-point blowout of Ygnacio Valley.

Lauren Green, Castro Valley G:

In the Trojans' sole game last week, a 63-45 win versus Encinal, Green went for 31 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, eight steals, and a block.

Keyonee Neal, Rancho Cotate F:

While the Cougars went 0-2, Neal averaged 33.5 PPG, 14 RPG, six APG, 7.5 SPG, and 1.5 BPG last week.

Trinity Billingsley, American Canyon G:

In the Wolves' only game last week, a 57-22 rout of Napa, Billingsley posted 20 points, four rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

Morgan Ross, Head-Royce F:

Ross scored 24 points on 10-13 shooting to go with 16 rebounds and six assists in the Jayhawks' only game, a 79-29 trouncing of Athenian.

Ahhray Young, Laguna Creek G:

Young averaged 26.5 points, 12 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and fours assists per game last week as the Cardinals went 1-1.

Talia Medalle, Dixon G:

Medalle put up 20 points, eight assists, and a block on 8-12 shooting in Dixon's only game, a 77-33 win over Woodland.

Saray White, McClatchy F:

White finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists, a steal, and a block in an 87-63 win over Laguna Creek.

Mary Carter, Antelope F:

Carter led the Titans to a 4-0 week averaging 25.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.3 steals, and four blocks per game on 56.8% shooting (64.2% EFG).

Audrey Harris, Faith Christian F:

The state's leading scorer on a per-game basis, Harris averaged 44 points, 18 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 4 steals per game as the Lions went 1-2.

Christelle Williams, Valley Christian (Roseville) G:

Williams dropped 36 points in a 90-59 win over Faith Christian last week in the Lions' only game. Gracie Williams added 27.

Cierra Thibodeau, Orestimba C:

Thibodeau led the Warriors to a 2-0 week averaging 16.5 points, 14 rebounds, and three steals per game.

BOYS BASKETBALL:

Amrin Mann, Sutter G:

Mann averaged 29 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals last week as the Huskies went 1-1.

Nick Von Zboray, Ponderosa G:

Von Zboray helped lead the Bruins to 3-0 week averaging 24.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game on 63.2% EFG.

Jaylan Walton, Hoover (Fresno) G:

Walton led the Patriots to a 2-1 week averaging 14.7 points, four rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.

Dae'shaun Bias, Sunnyside F:

Bias averaged 23 PPG in two wins last week.

Kaleb Salazar, Monache G:

Salazar had 26 points, seven rebounds, three steals, and two blocks in the Marauders' only game last week, a 64-56 win over Tulare Union.

Ronald Roche, Kings Christian G:

Roche dropped 35 points to outscore the opposition in a 65-26 win over Alpaugh last week.

Julius Olanrewaju, Coalinga G:

Olanrewaju averaged 35.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, two steals, and 3.5 blocks per game in two wins last week.

Elijah Mobley, Weston Ranch G:

Mobley was unstoppable as the Cougars scored 96 and 97 points in their two wins last week, averaging 32.5 points per game on a wild 75% shooting to go with six rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.

Aidan Braccia, Sacred Heart Prep G:

Braccia averaged 21.5 PPG on over 50% shooting in a 2-0 week, and added 7.5 RPG and 2.5 SPG.

Colin Mantle, Leigh G:

Mantle led the Longhorns to a 1-1 week averaging 30 PPG, five RPG, and four APG on a ridiculous line of 62.5% FG and 70.3% EFG.

Lucas Vogel, Menlo-Atherton G:

Vogel dropped a career-high 31 points on 11-17 shooting in an 88-44 rout of Parker in M-A's only game last week. He added eight rebounds and four assists.

Ryan Beasley, Dougherty Valley G:

Beasley averaged 34.5 PPG, 11 RPG, and three APG on 54.1% shooting (63.5% EFG) to lead the Wildcats to a 1-1 week.

Koko Penev, Concord G:

Penev had a 16-point, 10-assist double-double in the Minutemen' only game last week, a rout of Berean Christian. He shot 50% from the field and also had six rebounds and two steals.

James Frye, Miramonte F:

Frye helped lead the Matadors to a 3-0 week averaging 20 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game on 57.1% shooting (65.7% EFG).

Tyler Dutto, Miramonte G:

Dutto averaged 13 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 5.7 steals per game on above 50% shooting.

Callahan Hanson, Sonora G:

Hanson averaged 25 PPG, seven RPG, four APG, and 1.5 SPG as the Wildcats went 2-0.

Miles Bird, Lincoln (Stockton) G:

Bird averaged 21.5 points per game on 71.4% shooting to go with five RPG, three APG, and 2.5 SPG to lead the Trojans to a 2-0 week.

Leo Wagner, West Campus F:

Wagner averaged 26.3 points, 15.3 rebounds, four assists, 3.3 steals, and two blocks a game as the Warriors went 2-1.

Devan Sillimon, Stockton Christian F:

Sillimon put up 28 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks in the Eagles' only game, a close win over Lodi Academy.
