GRANADA HILLS, Calif. -- Granada Hills senior pitcher Zach Perez took a no-hit bid into the seventh innings in the Highlanders' game against Cleveland on Friday. He gave up a hit in the seventh, but finished his start throwing six innings, with seven strikeouts in an 8-1 Granada Hills win.
"Obviously I'd have liked to get that no-hitter at the end," Perez said. "But just to come out with a win is huge in the West Valley League. I'm excited about that."
