SBLive's 2021-22 All-Northern Section Girls Basketball Teams

Pierce's Jocelyn Medina, Enterprise's Abigail Shoff, and UPrep's JoAnna Warren headline our first all-section team.

The 2021-22 Northern Section girls basketball season featured some of the top teams and players the area has seen in years. Now it's time to unveil SBLive's All-CIFNS girls basketball teams for the past.

For of our end-of-season girls basketball awards, the main criteria are individual statistics and team success relative to strength of schedule. Both regular season and playoff success were considered.

FIRST TEAM ALL-SECTION:

G Jocelyn Medina – Pierce – JR.

With 38.6 points per game, Medina was not only the leading scorer in the section, but the second-leading scorer in the state and fourth in the country. She also averaged 6.3 steals, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game in the games in which those stats were recorded, and 10.8 RPG for the season for the 22-7 Division 4 semifinalist. Medina only scored under 29 points three times all season and went off for a career-high 61 points in a win against Sacramento Valley. She was named to SBLive's First Team All-NorCal.

G AJ Gambol – Pleasant Valley – FR.

Gambol led the Division 3 champion and top team in the section with 12 points, 3.2 assists, and 1.9 steals per game, and added 4.5 RPG.

G Shade Satica – Lassen – JR.

Satica averaged team-highs of 16.9 points, 3.7 assists, and 5.3 steals per game for the Division 4 finalist. She also grabbed 4.8 rebounds per game, and dropped a career-high 43 points on 19-30 shooting and 11 steals in a semifinals win against Pierce. 

G/F Giselle Rodriguez – Fall River – JR.

With team-highs of 18.1 points and 8.4 rebounds per game, Rodriguez helped lead the Bulldogs to a top-10 finish in the Northern Section despite coming out of Division 6. She also averaged 4.7 steals and two assists per game for the CIFNS D6 and CIF Division VI Northern Region champion.

G/F Madalynn Bassett – West Valley – SR.

Bassett averaged 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists per game for the Division 4 quarterfinalist.

F JoAnna Warren – University Prep – FR.

In one of the best freshman seasons anywhere in California, Warren averaged 23.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, and two steals per game to lead the Panthers to a Division 4 title. She hit 71 threes in 25 games shooting 40% from beyond the arc, and made our Second Team All-NorCal.

F/C Brynn Scribner – Trinity – JR.

Scribner helped lead the Wolves to a Division 5 title with team-highs of 16.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, and 2.2 steals per game.

F/C Abigail Shoff – Enterprise – SR.

Shoff averaged 29.6 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game on 53% shooting (55% EFG) to lead the Hornets to the Division 3 finals. She was an SBLive Second Team All-NorCal pick.

G Maddux Wilson – Pleasant Valley – FR.

G Mercedes Humphreys – Fall River – SR.

G Lexi Peters – Foothill – SO.

G Kennedy Lain – Central Valley – JR.

G Lexi Baumgartner – Quincy – SR.

G Jordan McCoy – University Prep – SR.

G Karli Reynolds – Weed – SR.

G/F Sophie Sims – Chico – SR.

F/C Mikayla Bumgarner – CORE Butte – SR.

C Renaissance Johnson – Weed – SO.
