Aaron Williams, Centennial 4-star cornerback, commits to Louisville Cardinals

Don't look now, but the Louisville Cardinals are quickly building a strong pipeline from the state of California to their football program.

Having already secured St. John Bosco High School four-star quarterback Pierce Clarkson and four-star athlete Jahlil McClain, as well as Inglewood athlete Jamari Johnson, the Cardinals were at it again Thursday morning.

247Sports four-star cornerback Aaron Williams announced his commitment to Louisville over 30 other offers, highlighted by Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington:

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound cornerback, out of Centennial High School (California), is rated the nation's No. 17 cornerback and No. 175 overall prospect.

Louisville has clearly made a push into Southern California.

And so far it's helped the Cardinals secure a top-10 class nationally.

According to ESPN's Tom VanHaaren, Louisville already has five ESPN 300 pledges in this class after signing just two in the past four recruiting cycles combined. 

Will that trend continue? And can Louisville put together the nation's most surprising recruiting class in the 2023 cycle?

If the patter continues, that could be the case.
