It's early in the recruitment of class of 2024 prospects, but Carlsbad High School (California) five-star quarterback Julian Sayin has already established himself as one of the most coveted football players in America.

Rated the nation's No. 7 overall prospect and No. 2 signal-caller, Sayin holds 20 scholarship offers - and the number is growing on a weekly basis.

Hoping to get an idea of all of his options, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound quarterback has taken a number of visits to build a foundation from which to base his future decision.

"It's about looking to see what schools have to offer," Sayin said. "While you're doing that, you can kind of tell, 'Do I want to be here for the next four (years).' "

Still on the road, Sayin gave his thoughts on some of his recent visits and upcoming trips.

Ole Miss: "(Coach Lane Kiffin) has a history of developing quarterbacks and putting them in the NFL. That's definitely intriguing to a California kid like me."

"It was my first time there. Oxford was pretty cool. I was able to go around the square a little bit and see what they have to offer."

Notre Dame: "I've been there a couple of times. I really liked it. Coach (Tommy) Rees, coach (Marcus) Freeman, I really like those guys. It was first time meeting coach Freeman as the head coach. There was really great energy from the staff."

Michigan: "I really liked Michigan. It was my first time being there. I had a really good time. I met with coach (Matt) Weiss. We were able to talk some football. Coach (Jim) Harbaugh was actually at The Masters, but I FaceTime'd him a couple of times during the visit. He was telling us stories about how he met [Buffalo Bills quarterback] Josh Allen that day, so it was pretty cool."

Georgia: "It's a place where you are going to be able to surround yourself with top guys I really like coach (Todd) Monken and coach (Kirby) Smart. The whole staff was really great to me. We actually brought a couple of our coaches out from our high school and they had a good time."

Next up are three trips this week.

Texas A&M (thoughts on historic recruiting class): "It's definitely something that you look at. You go, 'These guys are bringing in the top talent.' I think coach (Jimbo) Fisher is a great recruiter and I'm excited to go see them (Monday)."

Texas: "I've been there a couple of times. I really like the staff over there - coach (A.J.) Milwee, coach (Steve) Sarkisian, they've been really great to me. I can't wait until Tuesday."

Florida: "I was there a year ago, but I have not met the new staff yet. I'm excited to see what those guys can bring to the university."

Sayin said he has already seen most of the West Coast schools, but will take a trip to UCLA on April 30 to check out a Saturday practice.
