TOP 40 INFIELDERS IN SAN DIEGO SECTION HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

Jayden Agramont - Santana - Junior

Agramont has a hit in 18 of 24 games for Santana this season, good for a .391 average to go along with eight doubles and a home run.

Shane Bailey – Christian – Junior 

Bailey hit .491 last season and has backed it up with a .417 average this year. He has 13 doubles, two triples and two home runs for the 20-6 Patriots.

Kaden Bass – La Costa Canyon – Senior

Bass hit .319 last season for the Mavericks and has raised his average up to .360 this season while hitting five doubles and a triple. He's signed with Chico State.

Tucker Biehl – Sage Creek – Senior 

Biehl has emerged during his final high school season to hit .337 with eight doubles, two triples and a home run. He's also stolen 13 of 14 bases.

Franklin Carney – St. Augustine – Senior

Carney leads the Saints with a .400 average and .500 on-base percentage. He's stolen 13 of 14 bases on the year and has signed with UC-Irvine.

Luke Caruso – Sage Creek – Junior

Caruso is hitting .371 this season and has only struck out six times in 106 plate appearances. He has 11 doubles, two triples, and two home runs and has made a commitment to play at Biola.

Victor Castaneda – Bonita Vista – Junior

Castaneda has carried the Barons offensively this season, hitting .466 with ten doubles and six home runs. He has 13 multi-hit games on the year.

Manoah Chapman – Madison – Junior

Chapman transferred over to Madison after hitting .627 during his sophomore year at Calvary Christian. Despite the big jump up in competition, the San Diego State commit is hitting .350 with six doubles and two home runs. In 117 plate appearances he's walked 27 times and struck out only six times.

Spencer Davis – Granite Hills – Senior 

Davis has raised his average 100 points up to .386 this season and has three home runs and five doubles. He's signed with Cal State San Marcos.

Chris DiPrima – Del Norte – Junior

DiPrima has raised his average over 200 points from last season. He leads the Nighthawks with a .468 average and is tied for third in the San Diego Section with 14 doubles.

Christopher Esquivel – La Jolla Country Day – Senior

Esquivel hit .337 during his junior season and has bumped his average up to .392 during his final year with the Torreys. The University of San Diego-signee has ten doubles, three triples and three home runs to go along with a .551 on-base percentage.

Xavier Franco – Otay Ranch – Senior

Franco sat the first 12 games of the season after transferring in from St. Augustine but quickly has gotten up to speed. The UC-San Diego-signee is hitting .372 with five doubles, three triples a home run and has yet to commit an error on defense.

Frankie Giacalone – St. Augustine – Junior

Giacalone saw limited time for the Saints last season and has come on strong as a junior. He's hitting .329 with three home runs and has an on-base percentage of .453.

Maddox Haley – Madison – Senior

Haley has raised his average up to .421 this season from .320 last year. The San Diego State-signee has 12 doubles and two home runs on the season to go along with a 7-1 record and 46 strikeouts as one of the Warhawks best pitchers.

Ian Halverson – Mission Vista – Senior

Ian Halverson Mission Vista

Halverson is hitting .436 over his past 13 games for the Timberwolves. He's signed with Cal Baptist.

Liam Herrera – San Marcos – Junior

In his first season as a starter, Herrera has impressed with a .305 average and eight home runs for the Knights.

Kalani Jauregui – Otay Ranch – Freshman

Jaregui leads the Mustangs in hits and runs batted in during his first season on campus. The San Diego State commit is hitting .351 with five doubles and a home run.

Colby Kiesling – Sage Creek – Senior

With ten hits in his past four games, Kiesling has raised his average to .391. His eight home runs this season are a new school record. Kiesling recently committed to Montana State-Billings.

AJ Klubeck – Westview – Junior 

Klubeck only had nine plate appearances last season before breaking out this year with a .386 batting average. He's collected nine doubles, a triple, two home runs and has a .440 on-base percentage.

Ryan Kroepel – Poway – Junior

Ryan Kroepel Poway

Kroepel, who has also thrown over 70 innings for the Titans when he's not playing shortstop, boasts a .337 batting average to go along with ten doubles and two home runs. He's committed to Arizona State.

Isaiah Lane – Eastlake – Junior

Now in his third varsity season, Lane is hitting .384 with six doubles and two home runs as well as a .539 on-base percentage. The Oklahoma commit has stolen 14 bases for the Titans.

Nathan Latimer – La Jolla Country Day – Senior 

Latimer has raised his average up to .350 this season while showing extra-base power with 13 doubles and five home runs.

Brenden Lewis – Granite Hills – Freshman

Lewis has impressed since game one for the Eagles and owns a 12-game hitting streak heading into the regular season finale. The recent Arizona State commit is hitting .359 with three home runs and has assumed the closer role for Granite Hills.

Johnny Luetzow – La Jolla Country Day – Senior 

Luetzow is hitting .448 with 11 doubles and three home runs for the Torreys this season. He's third in the section with 30 stolen bases on the year. Luetzow, who's signed with Santa Clara, has impressed out of the bullpen this season with 17 strikeouts and a 0.58 ERA in 12 appearances.

Grant MacArthur – Granite Hills – Senior

Grant MacArthur Granite Hills

The reigning home run derby champion at Petco Park, MacArthur has raised his average up to .492 sitting on nine home runs and nine doubles as the regular season comes to a close. The Hawaii-signee has walked a whopping 35 times this season while only striking out five times.

Vaughn Major – Christian – Junior

Vaughn Major Christian

Major has raised his average from .250 last season to .361 during his junior year. The UC-Santa Barbara commit has five doubles, a triple, and a home run and has struck out 84 batters this season when he's not playing shortstop.

Andrew Nagtalon - Mission Hills - Junior

Nagtalon has been an offensive weapon all season for the Grizzlies, batting .419 with a .495 on-base percentage.

Nico Newhan – Maranatha Christian – Junior

Newhan has been crushing the baseball all season. He's hitting .533 with 14 doubles and eight home runs as the regular season comes to a close.

Nevan Noonan – Francis Parker – Senior

One of San Diego's top unsigned seniors, Noonan had three extra-base hits all season and has 19 so far this year for the Lancers. He's hitting .393 and has shown patience at the plate with a .518 on-base percentage.

Ryan Rivera – San Marcos – Senior

Ryan Rivera San Marcos

All Rivera has done is hit since arriving at San Marcos after his sophomore season. In 52 games over two seasons for the Knights, he hit .497 with 24 home runs, 20 doubles and five triples. Unfortunately a knee injury in league play in late April will cost Rivera the remainder of his high school career. He has signed to play at San Diego State.

Noah Ruiz – Maranatha Christian – Senior 

Ruiz hit .407 last season and has followed that up with a .452 average, seven home runs and a San Diego Section leading 18 doubles.

Kian Sanchez – Canyon Crest – Senior 

Sanchez has a .383 average this year, up from .215 a year ago. His six home runs and 14 doubles are both among the leaders in the section.

Camden Sos – Granite Hills – Junior  

Sos has a .349 average and .426 on-base percentage to go along with four doubles and two home runs. He's committed to play at UC-San Diego.

MJ Sweeney – St. Augustine – Junior

MJ Sweeney St. Augustine

The six-foot, seven-inch Sweeney has seven doubles and two home runs on the season. He's committed to Kansas.

Kevin Takeuchi – Rancho Bernardo – Junior

Takeuchi is hitting over .360 for the second consecutive season and has tapped into some power, leading the Broncos with six home runs so far.

Jackson Waller – Mission Hills – Senior

Waller leads the San Diego Section with 50 hits this season while batting .515. He has 13 doubles, three triples, two home runs and has only struck out three times this season. Waller committed to Nevada earlier this season.

Ryan Ward – Coronado – Senior

Ward has four home runs this season. He's signed with Arkansas.

James Whitman – Helix – Senior

Whitman is hitting .329 with an on-base percentage of .479 and has four home runs and four doubles. He's signed with Biola.

Tyler Wick – Francis Parker – Freshman

Wick has hit the ground running during his first year in high school. He's hitting .360 to go along with 11 doubles, two triples and two home runs while batting at the top of the order for the 23-4 Lancers. He's committed to Oregon.

Barron Zamora – Grossmont – Senior

Zamora has had a very consistent past two seasons for the Foothillers. The Washington-signee has raised his average up to .333 this season while collecting five home runs and seven doubles.
