Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Southern California High School Athlete of the Week for May 9-15 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Monday, May 23. Jack Giordano, Patrick Henry baseball: Giordano hit an eighth-inning walk-off single on Friday to help the Patriots beat Christian for the Eastern League championship.

Cody Delvecchio, Mission Hills baseball: Delvecchio struck out 18 batters in Monday's win over Westview.

Zane Nordquist, El Camino baseball: Nordquist, a freshman, threw a complete game one-hitter and struck out four batters in Monday's 2-0 win over Mt. Carmel.

Colby Kiesling, Sage Creek baseball: Kiesling had three hits including a double and his eighth home run of the season in Monday's 13-5 win over San Pasqual.

Kian Sanchez, Canyon Crest baseball: Sanchez had a home run and a double to help the Ravens beat San Dieguito 7-2 last week.

Lawson Minshew, Madison baseball: Minshew had three hits including two doubles and stole a base in Monday's win over Point Loma.

Cooper Whitton, Santa Fe Christian baseball: Whitton homered in each of the final two games of the regular season, giving him nine home runs on the season.

Jason Avila, Moreno Valley baseball: Avila had two doubles, two runs batted in and stole a base in last week's playoff win against Malibu.

Zach Gibbs, Palm Desert baseball: Gibbs had a two-run triple in last week's playoff win over Dos Pueblos.

Christian Miranda, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame: Miranda hit a three-run home run in Tuesday's playoff win over El Dorado.

Jay Wegener, Big Bear baseball: Wegener had two hits including a home run and three runs batted in against Los Amigos on Tuesday.

Nate Christman, Aquinas baseball: Christian went 4-4 with a double and two runs batted in last week to help the Falcons beat Flintridge Prep 5-0.

Cade Nolan, Aquinas baseball: Nolan tossed a complete game, one-hit shutout and struck out ten batters against Flintridge Prep.

Tyler McEvoy, Etiwanda baseball: McEvoy had a double, triple and two runs batted in during Tuesday's playoff win over Warren.

Kyra Chan, Torrey Pines softball: Chan hit a two-run walk-off home run last week to help the Falcons beat rival La Costa Canyon, 4-3, to capture the North County Coastal League championship.

Izzy Farinha, Immanuel Christian softball: Farinha had two doubles, two stolen bases and drove in six runs against Trona.

Kylie Loertscher, El Toro softball: Loertscher had two hits including her third home run of the season in Tuesday's playoff win against Paraclete. Loertscher also pitched, finishing with six shutout innings.

Jazzy Burns, Murrieta Mesa softball: Burns had a double, two home runs and drove in five runs during Tuesday's playoff win over Norco.

Isabella Cardona, Port of Los Angeles softball: Cardona threw a five-inning no-hitter in Thursday's 18-0 win over Marquez.

Shelbee Botello, Warren softball: Botello shutout North (Torrance) for eight innings on Tuesday to help the Bears win 1-0.
