Division 1 CIF State Southern Regional baseball semifinals: updated brackets, top players, live updates
The CIF State regional baseball semifinals will take place on Thursday across five divisions in the south and five in the north. Championship games will be played on Saturday.

DIVISION 1 CIF STATE SOUTHERN REGIONAL BASEBALL SEMIFINALS
The Division 1 CIF State Southern Regional baseball semifinals features two clashes of titans. Orange County public school powers No. 7 Villa Park and No. 6 Huntington Beach will face off at Huntington Beach for a spot in the championship in one of the semi's.
In the opposite semifinal, No. 5 Notre Dame plays at No. 1 JSerra in a rematch of the Division 1 Southern Section championship game that JSerra won 3-1.
First pitch for both games will be at 4 p.m.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Villa Park vs. Huntington Beach
This game features two potential future professionals in Villa Park junior shortstop Gavin Grahovac and Huntington Beach junior first baseman Ralphy Velazquez.
Notre Dame vs. JSerra
Both Notre Dame and JSerra have strong depth. Notre Dame's top prospects include junior center fielder Dean West and senior first baseman Jack Gurevitch. The Knights have both of their top starting pitcher available for the game in senior Cole Clark and junior Oliver Boone.
JSerra's led by junior third baseman Trent Caraway, senior right handed pitcher David Horn and junior right handed pitcher JJ Hollis.
