Look: Was this the best catch in high school baseball this season?

Tanner Griffith's spectacular grab in right was a web gem for the ages in De La Salle's state championship game victory.

De La Salle made a spectacular comeback Saturday in the CIF NorCal Regional D1 baseball championship game.

The game couldn't have had a more thrilling finish, with top-seeded De La Salle rallying for four runs in the bottom of seventh inning to defeat visiting St. Francis-Mountain View 7-6.

Ethan Dungo capped the four-run rally with a two-run single to set off Spartan pandemonium.

But the play of the game — and possibly the year in all of high school baseball — came earlier when De La Salle junior outfielder Tanner Griffith laid out in full sprint to make the catch of a lifetime in right field, saving two runs.

Had he not made that play, who knows what would have happened in the seventh?

Was Griffith's catch, seen below, the best catch in high school baseball this season?
