Isaiah Mobley drafted in 2nd round of 2022 NBA Draft by Cleveland Cavaliers, joins brother Evan Mobley

Mobley was a 5-star McDonald's All-American at Rancho Christian before playing three seasons at USC.

Isaiah Mobley, a former 5-star recruit at Rancho Christian, was drafted 49th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft on Thursday by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Mobley played three seasons at USC, and averaged career-highs of 14.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game as a junior. He shot 49.2% from the field, 35.2% from three, and a career-high 68.2% from the free throw line as well.

Before he was a Trojan, the 6-10, 240-pound power forward/center was one of the best high school players in the country and helped build Rancho Christian into an Inland-Empire powerhouse. He averaged over 19 points and 11 rebounds per game to go with roughly four APG as both a junior and a senior, and was a McDonald's All-American in 2018-19.

Mobley joins his younger brother and former high school teammate Evan Mobley on the Cavaliers, who are coming off a resurgent 44-38 campaign thanks in part to Mobley's addition.
