Photos: Battle at the Beach 7v7 Football Invitational in Southern California
National powers St. John Bosco and Mater Dei join 18 other teams in Huntington Beach.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Twenty Southern California football teams - including national powers Mater Dei and St. John Bosco - participated in the daylong Battle at the Beach 7v7 Invitational on Saturday at Edison High School.
Joining Bosco, Mater Dei and host Edison, were high school teams from Chaparral, Bishop Amat, JSerra, Cathedral Catholic, Capo Valley, Corona de Mar, Los Alamitos, Lincoln, Millikan, Long Beach Poly, Mission Viejo, Norco, Rancho Cucamonga, Servite, Santa Margarita and Serra Gardena.
Mission Viejo won the championship for the event.
