Watch: Leviticus Su'a, Jordon Davison discuss Mater Dei's mammoth 17-7 win over St. John Bosco

Stars on both sides of the ball both point to line play as key in game pitting the nation's top two ranked teams

It's hard to trip up Leviticus Su'a.

The four-star linebacker and leader of Mater Dei-Santa Ana's defense was asked if his teammates took it personal that Bosco's defense was getting most of the attention before the national showdown pitting the nation's top two ranked teams.

He didn't bite. He didn't flinch. He simply spoke the truth and where his defenses' focus needed to be.

"Going into game's we don't really think about the other team's defense," said the 4.0-plus student with 15 offers. "We just focus on the their offense and how we're going to game plan for it and execute what we want to get done."

And the Monarchs got it done decisively — especially on defense — in a 17-7 victory Friday night at sold out Santa Ana Stadium.

Mater Dei's offensive front and the running of 5-star sophomore running back Jordon Davison also got it done. Davison rushed for 114 yards and clinched the win with a 38-yard touchdown scamper with about a minute to play.

Davison, like Su'a, said line play was key. He also called his team's defense the "best in the country," and worthy of much more '"love."

He also succinctly said the Monarchs needed to "pound the rock and come out with a W."
