Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Southern California High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 6-8 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced the following Monday. Tyler Dudden, Norco football: Dudden passed for 294 yards and seven touchdowns against Murrieta Valley. He also rushed for 174 yards in the win.

Grant Gray, Norco football: Gray caught six passes from Dudden, finishing with 137 yards and four touchdowns.

Bear Bachmeier, Murrieta Valley football: Bachmeier passed for 404 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 204 yards and five touchdowns against Norco.

Asa Chatman, Murrieta Valley football: Chatman had 252 total yards and three touchdowns against Norco.

David Peevy, Lincoln football: Peevy had two sacks and an interception in Friday's win over St. Augustine.

KJ Reed, Mission Viejo football: Reed caught five passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns in Friday's win over Helix.

Kies Furrha, JW North football: Furrha rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday's win over Rancho Verde.

Juanya Morris, Arroyo Valley football: Morris passed for 189 yards and three touchdowns on Thursday. He also added 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Javance Tupouata-Johnson, Chaminade football: Topouata-Johnson passed for 292 yards and four touchdowns and also rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown in a win over Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.

Mykai Skinner, Elsinore football: Skinner rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns in Thursday's 23-22 win over Orange Vista.

Sire Gaines, Orange Vista football: Gaines had 291 total yards and two rushing touchdowns against Elsinore.

Cornell Hatcher Jr., Corona Centennial football: Hatcher Jr. had 188 total yards and four rushing touchdowns inn Thursdays' win over Roosevelt.

Koa Apana, Temescal Canyon football: Apana was nearly perfect against Heritage, finishing 19 of 20 for 299 yards and six passing touchdowns.

Kevin Allen III, Helix football: Allen had 191 total yards and four touchdowns against Mission Viejo.

Makei Thompson, Mira Mesa football: Thompson had 255 all-purpose yards against San Diego, finishing with four total touchdowns.

Nazarus Williams, Banning football: Williams intercepted three passes for the Colts during their 46-7 win over Narbonne.

William Fierro, Bishop's football: Fierro passed for 329 yards and four touchdowns in Friday's win over La Jolla Country Day. He also added 30 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Kyle Patenaude, Ramona football: Patetnaude rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns, had an interceptionn return for a touchdown and knocked in all six extra points during Friday's win over Escondido.

Cayden Dawson, University City football: Dawson had six tackles, three sacks, and a 54-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown against Canyon Hills.

Tanner Carranza, Brawley football: Carranza had 142 total yards and three touchdowns in Friday's win over Southwest El Centro.

Titus Toilolo, Madison football: Toilolo had eight tackles and a pick-six in Friday's win over Cathedral Catholic.

Chance Lachappa, El Capitan football: Lachappa caught four passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns against Mount Miguel.

Corie Ruell, Canoga Park football: Ruell had 258 total yards and two rushing touchdowns against Sylmar.

Carter Hogue, Edison football: Hogue had 69 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, four receptions for 27 yards, five tackles and an interception against Newport Harbor.
