Foothill-Palo Cedro running back Caidan Williford is SBLive's Northern California Athlete of the Week (Oct. 6-8)

Senior puts up huge numbers in win over Shasta before earning bigger voting numbers to earn the weekly award.

It's been a great senior season thus far for Caidan Williford. 

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound running back and linebacker for Foothill-Palo Cedro is the leading rusher and one of the top tacklers for the Northern Section's top-ranked team

On Oct. 7, Williford rushed 25 times for 197 yards and all three touchdowns in the Cougars' 21-10 win over Shasta. 

For the big game he was picked as one of the top performers in Northern California and via a vote from SBLive readers, he was voted the Northern California Athlete of the Week for games played Oct. 6-8. 

Williford collected a whopping 65.48 percent of the votes to win going away.

Kosta Alexsic, a running back for Placer-Auburn, rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-14 win over Lincoln.

Will Augenstein, a senior quarterback at Branham-San Jose, passed for 208 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 201 yards and two more scores in a 35-0 win over Gilroy.

Luke Baker, a junior quarterback at San Ramon Valley-Danville, completed 40 of 57 passes for 513 yards and five touchdowns in a 45-42 loss at McClymonds-Oakland.

Sully Bailey, a junior quarterback for Acalanes-Lafayette, completed 11 of 17 for 272 yards and three touchdowns and rushed twice for 54 yards in a 42-0 win over Las Lomas-Walnut Creek.

Jake Bianchi, a senior quarterback for Menlo School-Atherton, completed 15 of 20 for 407 yards and four touchdowns in a 30-10 win over Aragon-San Mateo.Bryson Donelson, a senior running back for Central Valley Christian-Visalia, rushed for 172 yards on 15 carries and three touchdowns and added 114 receiving yards in a 64-13 win over Selma.

Luke Duncan, a UCLA commit and senior quarterback at Miramonte-Orinda, completed 15 of 23 for 369 yards and four touchdowns in a 43-35 win over previously unbeaten Northgate-Walnut Creek.

Cole Gilbert, a quarterback for Downey-Modesto (7-0), passed for 232 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 94 more and another score in a 24-22 win over Turlock.

Jackson Harris, a senior receiver for Berkeley, had 13 receptions for 206 yards and a touchdowns, in a 27-23 win over Moreau Catholic-Hayward.

Jalen Harris, a junior running back for Berkeley, rushed 16 times for 145 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-23 win over Moreau Catholic-Hayward.

Samson Hunkin, a junior quarterback for St. Mary’s-Stockton, completed 23 of 29 for 251 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-35 win over De La Salle-Concord.

Trace Jackson, a running back for Kingsburg, rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-0 win over Kernan.

Armand Johnson, a senior quarterback for undefeated Wilcox-Santa Clara, accounted for 268 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-9 win over Milpitas. Williams completed 13 of 18 passes for 221 yards and two scores.

Jayden Mandal, a senior quarterback for Buchanan-Clovis, completed 16 of 18 passes for 315 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-41 win at Central-Fresno.

Ryan Markarian, a senior quarterback for Clovis West, the No. 1 team in the Central Section Fab 15 team rankings, completed 20 of 24 for 370 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-30 win over Clovis East.

Scott Nixon, a senior receiver for Sheldon-Sacramento, had 18 catches for 205 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-27 loss to Elk Grove.

Shay O’Kelly, a senior linebacker for Sacred Heart Prep-Atherton, had 17 tackles in a 17-7 win over Half Moon Bay.

Andrew Latimore, a junior quarterback for Del Mar-San Jose, rushed 21 times for 245 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-3 win over James Lick-San Jose.

Niall Raby, a running back for West Valley-Cottonwood, rushed 11 times for 177 yards and five touchdowns, in a 69-21 win over Central Valley.

Brandon Ramirez, a senior running back for San Joaquin Memorial, rushed four times for 141 yards and three touchdowns, in a 56-0 win over Madera.

Michael Runnels, a senior running back for Buchanan, rushed 20 times for 144 yards and four touchdowns, and had two catches for 85 yards and another score in a 49-41 win over Central-Fresno.

Marshel Sanders, a junior receiver for Clovis West, had four catches for 108 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-30 win over Clovis East.

Mason Silva, a running back for Rocklin, rushed for 203 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-20 loss to Del Oro-Loomis.

Dayton Tafoya, a senior quarterback for Central-Fresno, completed 32 of 53 for 415 yards and five touchdowns, and rushed 12 times for 90 yards and another score, in a 49-41 loss to Buchanan.

Jaivian Thomas, a senior running back at McClymonds, rushed 25 times for 280 yards and four touchdowns in a 45-42 win over San Ramon Valley-Danville.

Dashiell Weaver, a senior quarterback for unbeaten Campolindo-Moraga, threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-7 win over Benicia.

Rashid Williams, a Washington-bound receiver for Pittsburg, had 10 catches for 88 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-29 home win over Liberty-Brentwood.

Landon Wright, a senior receiver for Clovis West, had seven catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-30 win over Clovis East.
