El Cerrito senior Tony McAdoo is SBLive's Northern California Athlete of the Week (Nov. 17-19)

Speedy, compact running back puts up huge numbers on the field and even bigger totals on the voting front to earn the weekly award

Tony McAdoo isn't the biggest kid on El Cerrito's undefeated football team.

But the 5-foot-8, 165-pound senior running back puts up big numbers and has a huge impact on every game he plays.

McAdoo rushed 14 times for 236 yards and four touchdowns in a 47-6 North Coast Section Division 3 semifinal win on Nov. 18.

For it, he was put on the SBLive top performers' list and from there he really put up some big numbers.

He picked up 57.3 percent of the votes to win the Northern California Athlete of the Week award from Nov. 17-19.

McAdoo, whose team went on to win an NCS title and this week opens NorCal Division 3-AA play against Grant-Sacramento, outdistanced Serra quarterback Maealiuaki Smith, who finished with 27.28 percent of the vote.
