Narbonne star Marcus Adams Jr. on UCLA offer: 'It's a dream school of mine'
Almost a week after Marcus Adams Jr. announced his top-five schools, he officially received an offer from Coach Cronin and the UCLA Bruins.
Of the five finalists: Oregon, UCLA, Syracuse, Texas, and Mississippi State - UCLA was the only school that didn't formally offer the 6-foot-8 200-pound small forward.
On Monday, that changed.
Adams is currently ranked as the nation's No. 114 prospect in the class of 2024 and California's No. 9 overall prospect according to On3.
Adams has already taken official visits to Syracuse, Texas, USC, and Oregon State.
In regards to a commitment date, Adams mentioned that he will announce his commitment in about a month.
The Narbonne High School (California) standout caught up with SBLive Sports after receiving his UCLA offer:
What does it mean for UCLA to offer you?
Adams: "It means a lot that UCLA offered. It's been a dream school of mine and since I was a kid I've always wanted to go. It's local - I know people and friends that go there and it's in Los Angeles which is where I was born.
Why are the UCLA Bruins in your top-five schools?
Adams: "Assistant Coach [Rod] Palmer and Head Coach [Mick] Cronin are great coaches and nothing less good people. They're [UCLA] in my top-five because that's a big program that's just well known all around. They got a great atmosphere and also got a great city and arena around it."
