Watch: Orange Lutheran goes back-to-back with championship win against Marlborough

After it was tied after the first quarter, the Lancers started taking control and never stopped

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Orange Lutheran girls basketball became a back-to-back Southern Section champion on Saturday at the Honda Center.

Shea Joko led all scorers with 17 points as the Lancers rolled to a 63-45 victory over Marlborough to win a CIFSS Division 1 title after winning Division 2-AA last year.

Princess Cassell notched a double-double in just 17 minutes of action, totaling 10 points and 10 rebounds off the bench, and Sheridan Kennedy recorded 10 points off the bench as well for the Lancers to go with 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Madison Bogan contributed 9 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals, and Kelly Garrity added 9 points and 4 assists.

The Mustangs were led in scoring by Jacqui Diaz and Lauren Muñoz, who had 12 points each. Autumn Hill totaled 9 points, 8 blocks, and 5 rebounds, and Hana Speaks had 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
