San Gabriel Academy senior Jayden Mojica is SBLive's Southern California Athlete of the Week (Feb. 13-18)

Basketball standout led the Eagles to a Southern Section basketball championship

It was quite a few weeks for Jayden Majica.

The 6-foot-2 guard for San Gabriel Academy first scored 27 points to lead the Eagles to a 66-53 Southern Section 3A win over Valley Torah (Valley Village) before helping his team to a 73-57 semifinal win over Bonita (La Verne).

That put Majica on a SBLive performance list and then he was voted the SBLive Sports Athlete of the Week (Feb. 13-18) with a whopping 9,101 votes to outdistance runner-up Carter Bryant (5,007).

The following week, he helped the Eagles to a Southern Section championship.
