Both James and Watkins' parents were at the event. After the ceremony's conclusion, LeBron James addressed the media telling reporters:

"This is pretty cool. It's always good to see the kids accomplish a dream of theirs. For myself and Savannah and Bryce, we're very proud of Bronny for all of the things that he's done and today's another one of those moments ... We love where he's at at this point in his journey. He wants to continue to do great things on the floor, but greater things off the floor as a young man so that's what we're more proud about."

LeBron James played in the McDonald's All-American Game in 2003 earning MVP honors.

Bronny James is ranked as the No. 34 prospect in the 2023 class, per 247Sports.com. He hasn't picked a college yet, but Ohio State, Oregon and USC are rumored to be the favorites to land the guard.

Watkins, a combo guard, is ESPN's No. 1 ranked player in the country. She's a USC signee.
