Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Southern California High School Athlete of the Week for April 10-16 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced the following Monday. Jack Pinkert, Newport Harbor baseball: Pinkert had a home run, a double and three runs batted in during Monday's 6-5 win over Los Alamitos.

Arturo Rodriguez, Palm Desert baseball: Rodriguez went 3-3 with a triple, walk, stolen base and two runs batted in against Desert Mirage.

Jacob Loza, Valencia (Placentia) baseball: Loza reached base five times and scored three runs in Monday's 9-8 win over Oxford Academy.

Andrew Carter, Damien baseball: Carter tossed six hitless innings, striking out seven batters in Monday's 6-0 win over Los Osos.

Jackson Chastain, Canyon baseball: Chastain tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out nine batters last week against Irvine.

Jaxon Herron, Simi Valley baseball: Herron had two hits including a home run and four runs batted in during last week's shutout against Oak Park.

Luis Sosa, Bonita Vista baseball: Sosa had two hits and drove in the only two runs in Monday's 2-0 win against Otay Ranch.

Ryan Kroepel, Poway baseball: Kroepel had three hits including a triple in Monday's 5-3 win over San Marcos.

Daniel Mora, Eastlake baseball: Mora got on base eight times over two games last week, hitting his first home run of the season while driving in five runs.

MJ Sweeney, St. Augustine baseball: Sweeney had five hits last week including three home runs in a series against Madison.

Zach Morales, Patrick Henry baseball: Morales went 4-4 with a double and two runs batted in against Cathedral Catholic on Monday.

Jack Crawford, Classical Academy baseball: Crawford had four hits including a home run and drove in six runs across two games against Bishop's last week.

Emily Lew, San Marcos softball: Lew went 3-4 with two doubles and a stolen base in last week's win over Ramona.

Sierra Minshew, Madison softball: Minshew had a double, triple, two walks and four runs scored in Monday's win over Montgomery.

Natalye Debus, Canyon Hills softball: Debus threw a complete game shutout against Coronado, striking out 12 and also had a home run and a double in the 3-0 win.

Nevaeh Haywood, Ramona softball: Haywood had three hits and struck out seven batters during Wednesday's 10-0 win against Vista.

Mallory Axline, Cathedral Catholic softball: Axline had six hits, three runs, two runs batted in and a double over a two-game span last week.

Victoria Fauth, Savanna softball: Fauth went 3-4 with two doubles and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over Santa Ana Valley.

Mia'Lani Mayo, JW North softball: Mayo had a home run, three runs batted in and a walk in Tuesday's win over Moreno Valley.

Miranda De Nava, Riverside Poly softball: De Nava threw a no-hitter, striking out 15 batters in Wednesday's shutout against La Quinta.
