Arizona State-bound shortstop and pitcher showed off bat, speed in two big wins to win regional award over 19 other top candidates

Addison Klepsch does it all for the Del Norte-San Diego baseball team.

The Arizona State bound shortstop showed off many of his skills, leading the Nighthawks to a sweep of three  games over Canyon Crest to help him earn the SBLive Sports Southern California Athlete of the Week award (April 17-23), presented by Jersey Mike's Subs.

Klepsch went 4 for 8 with two doubles, two walks and six stolen bases as Del Norte prevailed 12-0, 17-2 and 9-3. The Nighthawks (13-9) are in the middle of a nine-game win streak.

The performance put Klepsch on an SBLive performance list where his numbers really soared, claiming 63.85 percent of the vote to easily outdistance the 19 other finalists for the award. He easily outdistanced runner-up Ryan Castro, a baseball player at San Dimas. SEE COMPLETE VOTE
