Menlo School junior Eric Yun is SBLive's Northern California Athlete of the Week (April 17-23)

Standout golfer shoots consecutive 9-hole rounds of 33 en route to winning fan vote over 19 other Northern California candidates

Eric Yun went low and then his vote total went very high to win SBLive's Northern California Athlete of the Week award (April 17-23), presented by Jersey Mike's Subs.

The standout golfer at Menlo School in Atherton made five consecutive birdies en route to a 3-under medalist round of 33 at Bay View Golf Club in Milpitas. A few days earlier he shot an identical round of 33 to earn medalist honors again in a loss to Sacred Heart Prep.

That stellar back-to-back rounds put Yun on an SBLive Sports performance list, where he beat out 19 other top performers by claiming 62 percent of the votes to easily outdistance Justin Johnson, a track and field standout at Jesuit-Carmichael (12 percent), to claim the AOW prize.
