Watch: Eastlake infielder Daniel Mora discusses San Diego Section playoff victory against Rancho Bernardo

Daniel Mora had four hits, four stolen bases and four runs scored in Tuesday's win over Rancho Bernardo.

RANCHO BERNARDO, Calif. -- Needing victories on back-to-back days at Rancho Bernardo, the Eastlake Titans didn't waste any time on Tuesday afternoon. Five of the first six batters reached base for Eastlake, leading to three first inning runs. The Titans added another run in the second inning, two more in the fourth inning and widened the gap with three in the sixth inning on their way to a 9-5 win over the host Broncos.

Senior second baseman and leadoff hitter Daniel Mora led the charge for Eastlake, singling in each of his first four at-bats. Mora put pressure on the Broncos, stealing four bases which led to four runs scored.

Mora's four hits raised his season average to .392 while he moved into second place in the San Diego Section with 42 stolen bases this season.

Eastlake finished Tuesday's win with 14 hits, 10 of them coming off the bats of Mora, junior third baseman Noah Betanco and senior catcher Nico Libed.

Junior right-handed pitcher Jake Davis kept his pitch count low, allowing five hits, four earned runs and no walks during his seven innings. He struck out two batters, throwing 79 pitches in all.

Eastlake had previously lost to Rancho Bernardo 11-3 on Friday, sending the Titans into an elimination game on Saturday morning with Granite Hills. The Titans outlasted the Eagles in that game, 4-3, in nine innings. Eastlake's win on Tuesday means that Wednesday's game between the Titans and Rancho Bernardo will decide who advances to Friday's San Diego Section Open Division championship game at San Diego State. Top-seeded La Costa Canyon is already into the game after shutting out Carlsbad 3-0 on Tuesday.
