Congratulations to Calvary Christian (Clearwater) softball P/3B Morgen Talley for being voted SBLive’s Florida High School Athlete of the Week for March 28-April 3!

The freshman did not allow a run in 6 innings, also allowed just two hits and struck out 11 batters in a 4-0 win over Hernando.

Talley ran away with this week's honor, receiving 99.02% of the total vote.

Evan Griffis, Lake Brantley

Griffis drove in five runs and hit a home run on March 31, in a 15-0 win over Seminole.

Ryan Hopping, Melbourne

Hopping drove in four runs on March 28, in a 12-0 win over Satellite.

Thomas Bly, Sickles

The sophomore infielder drove in four runs and scored a run on March 26, in a 9-3 win over Freedom.

Jeremy Todd, Bozeman

Todd struck out 10 batters in six innings on March 30, in a 3-2 loss vs Arnold.

Clayton Hendry, Middleburg

Hendry struck out 11 batters in six innings, allowing two hits and three runs, in a 10-4 win over Ridgeview.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Hannah Thomas, Hagerty

Thomas scored seven goals and had four assists on March 29, in a 19-1 win over Winter Springs.

Emerson Sheyda, Alonso

Sheyda scored eight goals and had an assist on March 29, in a 17-0 win over Lake Mary

Alexa Desart, Sickles

Desart scored six goals in a 15-4 win over Wiregrass Ranch

BOYS LACROSSE

Ethan Overton, West Boca Raton

Overton had six goals and two assists on March 29, in a 14-5 win over Taravella.

Everett Thompson, Maclay

Thompson scored five goals and recorded two assists on March 31, in a 13-4 win over Santa Fe.

Trey Toscano, Bishop Verot

Toscano scored six goals and recorded two assists on March 29, in a 19-1 win over Fort Myers.
