Francis Mauigoa, IMG Academy 5-star offensive tackle, visiting Michigan State this weekend

Five-star offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa is set to arrive at Michigan State on Friday

IMG Academy (Florida) pumps out some of the top high school football talent in America ever year.

The class of 2023 is no exception, as the group is led by offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa, wide receiver Carnell Tate and jumbo athlete Samuel M'Pemba, all of whom are likely to finish the recruiting cycle as five-star prospects.

In the case of Mauigoa, his recruitment may just be getting started.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pound lineman released a top 13 last month of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, LSU, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Texas and USC.

On Friday morning, Mauigoa indicated he will spend this weekend on a visit to Michigan State, which is hosting several visitors for its spring game Saturday.

Billed as arguably the biggest recruiting weekend in program history, Mauigoa is among the headliners of the group.

He is rated as the nation's No. 8 overall prospect and No. 2 offensive tackle in the 247Sports composite rankings, but is as highly ranked as the nation's No. 5 overall prospect and No. 1 offensive tackle by ESPN

It's still far too early to say who will land the coveted Florida lineman, but Michigan State will get its shot to impress this weekend.
