Who are the top catchers in Florida high school baseball this season?

We started with the Top 20 pitchers, and now the catchers are up.

TOP 20 CATCHERS IN FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

1. Jackson Toberman, Seacrest Country Day

Toberman is tied for the state lead in home runs with six on the season.

2. Brody Donay, Lakeland Christian

The Virginia Tech commit is hitting .304 this season has scored 14 runs.

3. Troy Reader, Berkeley Prep

The Notre Dame verbal commit has driven in 18 runs in 19 games played this season.

4. Mateo Serna, American Heritage Plantation

Serna has a .514 on-base percentage and is also hitting .370 this season for the Patriots.

5. Tate Sanders, Escambia

Sanders ranks fourth in the state among catchers, with 24 RBI.

6. Jake Randolph, Vero Beach

Randolph drove in a season-high four runs on March 4, in a 7-1 win over Treasure Coast.

7. Jacob Riley, Holmes County

Riley ranks second among all catchers, with 24 runs scored on the season.

8. Alex Sosa, Viera

Sosa drove in a season-high four runs on February 23, in a 12-1 win over Flagler Palm Coast.

9. Hunter Carns, First Coast

Carns stole three bases back on April 5, in a 2-1 win over Fernandina Beach.

10. Jayden Smith, Rickards

Smith stole a season-high five bases on February 22, in a 21-2 win over Jefferson County. He recently committed to Xavier University of Louisiana.

11. Brady Neal, IMG Academy

Neal drove in a season-high four runs on April 12, in a 16-3 win over Archbishop McCarthy. He signed with LSU earlier this year.

12. Gunnett Carlson, Berkeley Prep

Carlson is hitting .426 and has an on-base percentage of .548 this season for the Buccaneers.

13. Hayden Gustavson, Columbia (Lake City)

Gustavson drove in a season-high four runs on April 11, in a 10-0 win over Bishop Kenny.

14. Eli Maddox, Paxon

Maddox has recorded at least one hit in 10 of his 12 games played this season.

15. Nolan Fitzpatrick, Osceola (Seminole)

Fitzpatrick has thrown out 9-of-17 (52.9 percent caught stealing rate) runners this season.

16. Josh Hines, Jesuit (Tampa)

Hines has yet to record an error behind the plate this season for the Tigers.

17. Justin Allen, Sickles

Allen recorded a season-high three hits on April 9, in an 11-1 win vs Robinson.

18. Colin Schultz, Plant City

Schultz had a two-home run game back on March 16, in a 6-1 win vs Bloomingdale.

19. Will MaGuire, Community School of Naples

MaGuire has scored three or more runs in three games this season for the Seahawks.

20. Jedidiah “Jedd” Jones, North Florida Christian

In 20 games played this season, Jones has an on-base percentage of .542 for the Eagles.
