Florida's top high school softball players: Meet the state's Top 20 second basemen

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking a look at some of the top high school softball players in Florida.

We started with the Top 20 pitchers, then we took a closer look at the Top 20 catchers and Top 20 first basemen. Now, we turn our attention to the second basemen.

TOP 20 SECOND BASEMEN IN FLORIDA SOFTBALL

1. Meagan Rambo, Sr., John I. Leonard

Rambo is leading the state among second basemen, hitting at a .595 batting average in 17 games played this season.

2. Kennedy Shea, Fr., Strawberry Crest

Shea has driven in 26 runs in 14 games played this season for the Lady Chargers.

3. Jadyn Wright, Sr., Hernando

Wright, a senior, has 26 hits and and an on-base percentage of .534 through 19 games.

4. Brianna Thompson, Sr., Madison County

Thompson leads the state among second basemen with five home runs this season.

5. Emily Garcia, Sr., Gulf Coast

Garcia has a team-high 11 doubles this season for the Lady Sharks.

6. Taylor Vecchione, Sr., Fort Lauderdale

Vecchione has a .459 on-base percentage in 14 games played this season.

7. Dom Sekelsky, Sr., Nature Coast Tech

Sekelsky has driven in 19 runs this season for the Lady Sharks.

8. Rachel Hawkins, So., Coral Reef

Hawkins has an on-base percentage of .513 and has 27 hits in 20 games this season.

9. Haley Smith, Jr., Navarre

Smith, a junior, has an on-base percentage of .486 and has driven in 18 runs in 20 games.

10. Olivia Davis, Jr., Williston

Davis leads the state among second baseman in runs scored (29).

11. Haley Yeary, Sr., Spruce Creek

Yeary has a .549 on-base percentage in 19 games played this season for the Lady Hawks.

12. Allyson Wleklinski, Sr., Clearwater Central Catholic

Wleklinski has a team-high 37 stolen bases this season.

13. Hallie Bordeaux, Jr., Boca Ciega

Bordeaux has scored 14 runs this season for the Lady Pirates.

14. Alanys Negron, So., Poinciana

Negron has scored 21 runs in 14 games played for the Lady Eagles this season.

15. Emma Hart, Sr., Lake Region

Hart has driven in 16 runs in 19 games this season.

16. Juliana Ries, So., Academy at the Lakes

Ries has recorded a .992 fielding percentage in 16 games played for the Lady Wildcats.

17. Mckenzie Feeney, Jr., Dunedin

Feeney has scored 20 runs this season for the Lady Falcons.

18. Caitlyn Gavin, Jr., Jay

Gavin has recorded a .450 on-base percentage in 16 games played this season for the Lady Royals.

19. Mylee Frazier, 8th Grade, Baker

Frazier has recorded a .532 on-base percentage and has scored 21 runs for the Lady Gators this season.

20. Gigi Santiago, So., Belleview

The sophomore infielder currently has a six-game hitting streak dating back to April 1.
