5-star guard Marvel Allen to transfer from Calvary Christian Academy to Montverde Academy for senior season

Allen led Calvary Christian Academy to back-to-back Florida high school state championships

Just a little over a month after winning the inaugural State Champions Invitational, 5-star combo guard Marvel Allen is transferring from Calvary Christian Academy to Montverde Academy for his senior season. The transfer was first reported by Hoop Major Recruiting.

Allen led the Eagles to back-to-back FHSAA state championships and currently holds 20 Division I college basketball offers, including Illinois, LSU, Maryland and several others. Allen initially committed to LSU in January, but has since re-opened his recruitment.

In 26 games this past season, Allen averaged 13.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

According to 247Sports Allen is the No. 5 point guard in the nation and the No. 3 overall prospect in the state of Florida.

“He was a key piece to our program and wish him nothing but the best at Montverde,” Calvary Christian head coach Cilk McSweeney said.
