With the 2022 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) baseball playoffs underway, we’re taking a look at the top players to watch, class by class.

From Brandon Barriera to Jamie Arnold, there are several talented seniors competing in the FHSAA baseball playoffs.

Here’s an inside look at the Top 20 seniors:

TOP 20 SENIORS IN FLORIDA BASEBALL PLAYOFFS

1. Brandon Barriera, Left-Handed Pitcher (American Heritage Plantation)

The left-hander is projected to be an early round draft pick in this summer’s Major League Baseball draft. Barriera went 5-0 with a 2.27 earned run average in eight regular season appearances for the Patriots.

2. Sal Stewart, Infielder (Westminster Christian)

Stewart had a .507 batting average in 26 games played for the Warriors during the regular season.

3. Roman Anthony, Outfielder (Stoneman Douglas)

Anthony hit 10 home runs and drove in 37 for the Eagles during the regular season. Stoneman Douglas finished No. 1 in the SBLive Florida baseball power rankings.

4. Luke Heyman, Catcher (Lake Brantley)

Heyman had a .511 on-base percentage during the regular season for the Patriots.

5. Bradley Hodges, 1B/LHP (St. John’s Country Day)

The University of Virginia signee hit .494 during the regular season for the Spartans. St. John’s Country Day finished No. 5 in the SBLive Florida baseball power rankings.

6. Max Williams, Outfielder (Clay)

Williams recorded a .495 on-base percentage in the regular season for the Blue Devils.

7. Ethan Petry, Infielder (Cypress Creek- Wesley Chapel)

Petry scored a team-high 31 runs during the regular season for the Coyotes. Cypress Creek will travel across the state to take on Okeechobee in the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday night.

8. JT Quinn, Right-Handed Pitcher (Berkeley Prep)

The Ole Miss signee recorded a 1.17 earned run average in 53 2/3 innings pitched this season for the Buccaneers.

9. Yoel Tejada Jr, Infielder (North Broward Prep)

Tejada has a .379 batting average this season for the Eagles.

10. Cameron Smith, Shortstop (Palm Beach Central)

Smith has a .524 batting average this season for the Broncos. Palm Beach Central will travel to face Jupiter in the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday night.

11. Jake Clement, OF/RHP (Stoneman Douglas)

Clement recorded a 1.06 earned run average in 11 appearances for the Eagles this season.

12. Chris Arroyo, OF/LHP (Stoneman Douglas)

Arroyo has a .438 on-base percentage in 26 games played this season for the Eagles.

13. Blake Cyr, SS (Windermere)

Cyr has scored a team-best 41 runs this season for the Wolverines. Windermere hosts Venice in the Regional Quarterfinals on Tuesday afternoon.

14. Kolten Smith, Right-Handed Pitcher (Ocala Forest)

Smith posted a 3-1 record with a 2.33 earned run average in 11 appearances during the regular season for the Wildcats.

15. Brody Donay, Catcher (Lakeland Christian)

Donay has a .511 on-base percentage in 25 games played for the Vikings.

16. Ben Barrett, RHP/3B (The First Academy- Orlando)

Barrett recorded 78 strikeouts in 49 2/3 innings pitched during the regular season for the Royals. Barrett has signed with Florida State University.

17. Jaxson West, Catcher (Chiles- Tallahassee)

West recorded a .471 on-base percentage in 27 games so far this season for the Timberwolves.

18. Walter Ford, Right-Handed Pitcher (Pace)

Ford is signed with the University of Alabama. Season stats are unavailable

19. Zachary Root, Infielder (Fort Myers)

Root finished the regular season with a 6-2 record and a 1.51 earned run average in 11 starts for the Green Wave.

20. Jamie Arnold, Left-Handed Pitcher (Jesuit- Tampa)

Arnold finished the regular season with a 4-3 record and a 2.51 earned run average in 17 appearances for the Tigers. Arnold is signed with Florida State University
