Brandon Royal, Sickles

So we’d be remiss if we didn’t also talk about the performance of the player throwing the dots to Isaiah Hudson. Royal bounced back from a Monday night loss to rival Alonso and completed 23-of-34 passing for 508 yards and four passing touchdowns. What a night throwing the ball.

Keveun Mason, Lake Placid

Lake Placid sophomore Keveun Mason rushed for 363 yards and five touchdowns. He, also scored on a 2-point conversion run and had a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown called back.

Damarcus Creecy, Mainland

Mainland quarterback Damarcus Creecy came up huge for his team when they needed him. Creecy was 23-of-31, 315 yards, three touchdowns passing and rushed 13 times for 94 yards and one score in the victory over Lake Minneola.

Colin Hurley, Trinity Christian Academy

When a game becomes high scoring, you begin to lean on your passing attack a bit more. That’s what happened for Trinity Christian’s Hurley, who threw four touchdowns in a 43-30 win over Columbia.

Brooks Bentley, Venice

This submission for Venice quarterback Brooks Bentley wasn’t so much for the big stat line, but pulling his team out of a hole. Bentley had over 200 yards of total offense and had a hand in Venice’s three touchdowns in the 24-17 win over Sanford Seminole.

Isaiah Hudson, Sickles

Talk about having yourself a day through the air on a Friday night. Hudson had one of the best nights of any receiver as he caught 11 passes for 283 yards and a score in the 56-21 win over King. The win is the first for the Gryphons.

Dante Turner, Mount Dora

Turner was a human highlight reel on Thursday night when the Hurricanes pulled off a thrilling 48-47 win over South Lake. The running back had 33 carries for 251 yards and scored three touchdowns. Big time performance for the Mount Dora back.

Ethan Holewski, Gulf

Benforce Friday’s game against Central, Holewski’s previous career-high was 293 yards against Dunedin last year. Make way for a new mark for the junior as Holewski completed 18-of-26 passing for 299 yards and three touchdowns in Gulf’s 52-20 win over Central.
