Baxter, who was joined by family members, was presented a special No. 23 jersey for his selection to the Under Armour Next All-American Game, which is played annually at Camping World Stadium in Orlando in January. Players practice for a week at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World before participating in the game.

Baxter is enjoying a spectacular season for the Eagles, who are unbeaten (6-0) and one of Florida’s top teams in the 3 Metro class. He has rushed for nearly 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns in six games.

The power back galloped for 123 yards and one TD in just one half of action in a 40-0 rout of Timber Creek on Thursday night.

“It has been an amazing year,” he said. “We’re playing together as a team. I think that’s the main thing.”
