Chris Ferrini, Mitchell, quarterback The senior signal caller rushed for 136 yards on 25 attempts, scored twice and also completed 7-of-14 passes for 111 yards. He was the difference in the pivotal district win over Springstead.
Jack Shuker, Evangelical Christian School, wide receiver
When Evangelical Christian School needed a game-winning touchdown reception, they went to Jack Shuker. With just 0:22 seconds remaining in the game and trailing Canterbury, Shuker caught the game-winning touchdown. He finished with four catches, 60 yards and scored twice.
Levontai Summersett, North Fort Myers, wide receiver
In North Fort Myers first game back on the field since Hurricane Ian, the Red Knights didn’t look like they missed a beat at all. Summersett led the way as he accumulated 166 yards receiving and scored three touchdowns in a 38-0 win over Mariner.
Sam Haertle, Dunedin, linebacker
Talk about a tackling machine, you have to mention Dunedin linebacker Sam Haertle. The senior saved one of his best performances for last in a 3-0 win over Tarpon Springs. Haertle had 25 total tackles (13 solo tackles, 12 assisted) and brought his season total to 110.
Aidan Karsh, Monsignor Pace, quarterback
In one of the better performances down south, Monsignor Pace quarterback Aidan Karsh was able to show out against LaBelle. Karsh threw for 254 yards and three touchdowns in a 25-0 victory.
Eugene Wilson III, Gaither, wide receiver
Gaither wide receiver Eugene Wilson III has been battling a nagging injury all season long but made his long awaited appearance and didn’t disappoint at all. Wilson III caught nine passes for 243 yards and scored three touchdowns and also picked off a pass in Gaither’s 41-35 win over Durant.
David Parks, Sanford Seminole, quarterback
No Luke Rucker? No problem for the Sanford Seminole Seminoles. Parks, a sophomore quarterback, made his second ever start on the varsity level and shined. Parks threw three touchdown passes and ran for another in the Seminoles 37-7 win over Lake Brantley.
Mark Fletcher Jr., Plantation American Heritage, running back
Haven’t we seen Fletcher’s name on this list before? Yes we have and I’m sure this won’t be the last as the Ohio State commitment made his presence known in the Patriots’ 35-17 win over Naples. The running back rushed for 184 yards on 30 touches and scored once.
Taylor Bradshaw, Oakleaf, wide receiver/defensive back
Bradshaw was a big reason why the Oakleaf Knights were able to walk into Boot Hill Stadium and come away with a win. The wide receiver scored two receiving touchdowns and nabbed an interception.
Deontae Reinhardt, Pine Forest, free safety
The Eagles have been one of the top teams in northern Florida all year long. Now Pine Forest improves to 8-0 after a big 36-3 win over Escambia and Reinhardt was a big reason why. Reinhardt made a team-high 12 tackles for Pine Forest.
